Bird Cage Ornament

I wanted to share this ornament I made using the new Tim Holtz birdcage die.

I cut the die out of metal paper, by QuicKutz, and then colored it with alcohol ink and Perfect Pearls.

For the bird, I used an antique songbook as paper and colored it with Distress Ink. I then coated the bird with Diamond Glaze.

The music notes are cut from cardstock with a die from Dies Direct, then covered with Rock Candy Crackle Paint and Black Soot Distress Stickles.

I added beads, flowers and feathers for fun.

I love the way it turned out … what do you think?

Here’s a similar one I did … I’m thinking of teaching this one as a class.
