It’s a Boy

My cousin is expecting a baby boy. I created this card for her baby shower.

The hippo and balloons outline stickers areĀ from Krazy Kreations. Click here to see how I add glitter to an outlineĀ sticker and then color it.

NOTE: I added the nose and mouth pieces to the hippo after it was colored and glittered.

Adding string on balloons can be a bit challenging, so I wanted to show you a couple of ways to do it.

For these balloons, I placed some Designer Dries Clear Adhesive under the balloons and stuck the string into the middle of the puddle of glue. I knew I wanted to use dimensional foam adhesive to adhere the hippo, so I secured the bottoms of the strings with a piece of transparent tape. Super easy!

Then I added a sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs and some google eyes … what do you think?

It’s a Boy!

This month’s Designer Challenge for Elizabeth Craft Designs is to create something for baby.

I opted to represent the little boys with this adorable stand-up card.

I used papers from Lawn Fawn and the Congratulations Stand-Up Helper, the It’s a Boy word die and Star Buddies Peel Off Stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Baby_Candy_Spiegel2The stickers are colored in with Copic markers. I wanted a bit of orange at the top, so I used the corners from one of the tag die sets from Elizabeth Craft Deigns as well.
