It is my favorite time of the year and I have been creating many items to celebrate the season. I hope you will enjoy me for some of these classes.
Check the calendar at the right for details and locations.
This, one of my favorites, is a mason jar snow globe. We’ll create a special mix to color a bottle brush tree and learn how to create a beautiful snowflake rosette. And, you can customize yours to fit your decor by making your tree red, green, purple, blue, navy or pink! I’m teaching this one at Green Door Studio in Brighton.
Next up is a fun and easy class that will provide you with four unique gift-card holders in a variety of styles. Some papers may vary, or you can swap them out if you prefer something different. Of course, we’ll also learn how to dry emboss, ink, use flock and Piccolo embossing powder. This one is also offered in Brighton.
Next up is this adorable bookmark. We’re focusing on Copics in this class. No experience is necessary … I will teach you how to blend, buy, use and store Copics and then we will put our new techniques to use by making this project. In addition to coloring the stamped scene, we’ll learn to color rhinestones, eyelets and ribbons. You don’t even need to buy Copics to take this class. Just come and see what they are all about. This one is taught at Crop ‘N Shop in Burton.
Up next is a paper bag mini album. This book is packed with interactive pages, pockets and tags featuring beautiful papers from KaiserCraft. We’ll make snowflake rosettes for the cover and accent it with gold-foil papers, beads and elegant ribbons. Trust me, the photo does not do this book justice. Anyway, in addition to making the book, you will go home with tons of paper and die cuts to make cards or scrapbook layouts. It is a great value! This class is being held in Millington at Scrapbooker’s Hideaway.
Next we have two beautiful cards using products from Elizabeth Crafts. Learn to emboss Shimmer Sheetz and color glitter! You can use Copics, Ranger’s Distress Ink Markers or Tombow markers to do this technique. This class is in Brighton in Green Door Studio.
In this fun class, you will make 6 mini cards (they come with mini envelopes, too) as well as a coordinating box to keep them all in. Mini cards are fun to use in place of gift tags or to send a quick note to a neighbor or friend. Or, you can wrap up the entire package and give it as a gift to a teacher or family member. This class is held in Brighton at Green Door Studio.
Remember, I also teach private classes and small group classes. Just drop me a note and let me know what you are interested in. I can customize any class to fit your group. Contact me at candyspiegel@yahoo.com.
