December Birthday Card

My mother-in-laws birthday is just a few days before Christmas. Since my birthday is just a few days after Christmas, I know how unfair it can be. Birthday presents come wrapped in Christmas paper and often are Christmas decor.

This year, I wanted to give her a card that celebrated the season, but was not Christmasy.

I started by embossing gold Shimmer Sheetz in the Pinecones Elizabeth Craft Designs Embossing Folder.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to adhere it to a card base. I cut another piece of Shimmer Sheetz and adhered it to piece of cardstock and then the card front.

Then I placed strips of Transparent Double Sided Adhesive across the card. I trimmed the edges, removed the backing and coated it with Amethyst Silk Microfine Glitter. I shook off the excess and polished it.

Then I added a Happy Birthday Peel Off to the front.

Simple, but elegant.
