The project I would like to share with you today is a card I made with Peel-Offs and Silk Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs and Tombow Markers.
I started with Big Flowers Peel-Offs and, using Double-Sided Adhesive, coated them in Silk Microfine Glitter in Cool Diamond.
I cut out the images and then began coloring them with Tombow Dual Brush Markers in colors 856, 933 and 993. I colored sections of the flower with one color, then dragged the neighboring color into that color for a beautiful blend. It was super easy — no water or blending solution needed to create perfect blends.
For the center, I colored it in 992 and then added dots in 977. All of the colors were included in the Secondary Set of 10 markers. It does take a while for the markers to dry, since they are on glitter. I let mine dry overnight (I tend to use a lot of ink) and it was fine.
Inside, I added one additional flower and “Get Well Soon” cut from a die.
The papers are all from Stampin’ Up and I used a bit of Distress Ink around the edges.
I used the Curvy Leaves Die for the leaves on the cover.
I hope you enjoyed my project for the Tombow & Elizabeth Craft Designs blog hop. Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win!

Lovely, lovely card!
Love the Card. Great colours you used on the flower. Those markers looks pretty easy to use, never good with colouring myself. Thanks for the tips.
Annie: I have never been able to color, either. In fact, I was lucky to get a B- in art class!! However, with this glitter and the peel-offs, you cannot mess it up! You don’t really color, but just lay color down and the results are amazing. You really should try it … if you’re in Michigan, I would be happy to show you and let you try-before-you-buy.
Your cards are always so fun to see and then this card is one of my favorite for sure! Love your colors especially! Xxx

I love orange, and this card has lots of oranges! I even wrote down all the Tombow marker #’s, for my next shopping trip.
I love orange, too!! It’s one of my current favorite colors!
I need a really strong adhesive for projects and have been wanting to try the silk glitter.
Carol b
The double-stick adhesive from Elizabeth Craft Designs is super strong! It holds the glitter in place and once you burnish it, no glitter ever comes off. And, I do not seem to get gummy stickers when I cut out my images.
Tombow has a brand new adhesive — Xtreme. It is for paper, cardstock, fabric, wood, glass, plastic and rubber. I have not had a chance to try it yet.
For wet glue needs, my recommendation is Art Institute Glitter Designer Dries Clear adhesive. I use it on wood, ribbon, metal, gems and much more.
I also like Scor-Tape for ribbon and Shimmer Sheetz. Hope this helps you, Carol!
that is such a beautiful card, i love the colors.

Very groovy looking card! I like to use my heat tool briefly over where I’ve colored with my Tombow markers. That “sets” the ink and I don’t have to wait for it to dry.
Very nice. Carol

pretty! Great color
choices.

I really though your card was beautiful. How did you blend the colors?
It was very easy … I colored a section in one color, then colored up to that color with another. The pens naturally blended together with no additional effort needed.

I really like your card and feel it is so festive and uplifting. I’m glad you shared using Tombow markers on the glitter instead of using Copic. I did not realize this would work this well and the drying time is not an issue for me. Thanks for the inspiration.

Enjoyed this!
Love your card. I have not tried tombow pens…but I love how ECD stickers make projects easy 🙂
Tombow markers are a nice alternative to alcohol-based markers. Because they are water-based, they can be used directly on your stamps. And, they still work on the glitter! Best of all, they are much, much cheaper than alcohol-based markers so you can build your collection quickly.
I love this technique of coloring the glitter with Tombow markers! The colors are amazing! A very beautiful card, indeed!
This card is quite lovely
Beautiful card! I have never tried the tombow markers, but would love to.
I did not know that tombow markers could color on glitter. I thought it was only alcohol markers that could color on glitter.
Tombows work beautifully on the glitter, Kelley. You just have to allow them time to dry. Some find theirs dry within a few minutes. Mine took overnight because I use a lot of in,. But the results are worth the wait … don’t you think!?
Always enjoy your cards
Oh Wow!! This is such a gorgeous card Candy! Your shimmery flower reminds me of painted glass suncatcher and I just love it! And you even decorate the inside of your cards…like I should but hardly ever do! lol What a beautiful project and way to showcase that big peel off sticker from Elizabeth Crafts with the Tombow markers and other products!!!
