Paper, please

When I first saw the Everyday Moments line by Teresa Collins, I knew I had to have it. It was in my colors (blue and yellow) and featured several things I love — namely, birds, bees and flowers.

However, I have been trying NOT to buy paper unless I have a specific use for it — my attempt to prevent that huge stack of paper building collecting in a drawer somewhere.

Although it took every last bit of my willpower, I ignored the paper during my first three visits to the store. On the fourth visit I decided I was getting it no matter what and I would find a use for it. And, then, when I went to a crop with my friends, I realized it was perfect for my chicks!

I absolutely love the papers and I had quite a few photos, so I kept the embellishments really simple and used ONLY paper for this layout. I punched some; I used the Cricut to cut some; I trimmed some; I tore some and I even made a paper “ribbon” to go down the side. I just wanted to prove to myself that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on fancy embellishments. It is still possible to create beautiful pages with nothing but paper!

Here’s a closer look at some of the details and, as always, click on the photos for a larger view.

  1. You did a wonderful job and really accomplished what you set out to do. I love this paper and layout. You are so talented. What size coop are you planning? We have a nesting box you can have-I don’t remember how long it is but if you’re interested you can have it. It’s like a chicken hotel-hangs on the wall of the coop and has individual little cubbies for the chickens.
